Is this caterpillar safe to feed ?

Something's been decimating my leafy vegetables this season. I thought it was snails or slugs so set out beer traps to no avail. Tonite I went out ahunting and found these caterpillars. Anyone know what they are? Are they safe to feed to my veiled ( no pesticides used in my garden ) ?

dont know.. but i wouldnt feed any wc insects to my chams,..maybe a bug expert might say something different

I'd say the spikey hairs on these worms would irritate any animal trying to make a meal of them. External and internally.
