Is this enclosure too small or not!?

I have a 18" x 18" x 36" cage for my one year old male panther chameleon. On here loads of people are telling me it is too small. But I have been on tonnes of websites and they all say that is fine. So do I really need to make it any bigger?

Please appreciate the fact that I am in the UK. Chameleons aren't as common here and so appropriate housing is hard to come across.

It's a tad narrow but I think it would be ok. They do like lots of room and the bigger the better!

Have you tried building your own out of wood? It's much cheaper and you get the exact measuremeants you want.

I built a 50"x42"x21" for about £90, about half of that price was for the glass.
(cage wasn't for a chameleon)

Thanks you guys.

My dad just started building me a wooden frame and I have just ordered some mesh! :) So Callie is gonna have a bigger cage after all.

That's wonderful. Bigger IS better. 18" x 18" x 36" is a tight squeeze for a male. I think the perfect size is 24" x 24" x 60"
