is this normal?

hi guys i keep finding my little guy traveling to the bottom of viv and eating soil etc..
i have got a fiscus in there that i got from a dept store and a couple of times now i had found him on the stalk facing down firing his tongue into the soil etc... i saw him take a bit of wood or something once however he spat i back out.

is this normal? or harmful? if so how can i stop it? or any ideas?

oh hes still eating lots and drinking his favourite is locusts at mo which i dust in zoo med reptivite.

MY MALE eats dirt from time to time, the same i see him down in his plant shooting dirt. i wouldnt worry to much as long as he's eating pooping and acting normal. some attribute soil eating to a vitamin/mineral imbalance.

I saw your other thread... And your guy is having some issues. I would get him to a vet for the MBD first thing. That is what you really want to worry about at this point.

I agree! Then you can repod your plant with sifted organic soil so it will be safe for him. Jann
