Is this normal?

I'm cham sitting a friend's baby veiled, and Ebenezer saw him and of course, fired up with colors I've NEVER seen on him before, I'll post them later, but also, he twitches when he sees him. I've never seen any territorial male twitch when they see another cham.
I took a video to show everyone what it's like.

And he only does this when he sees the other chameleon. He also REALLY seems like he wants to eat it, could that have anything to do with it? It's not like a leaf dance.

The other cham was out of the camera's view.
Can anyone explain this? Thanks so much!

That cham is acting like he says a female. Don't let him see another cham if you don't wanna see him display and head bob.

He does look quite beautiful!

This is the first time I've seen him fire up like this, and I love it. I don't mind him displaying, I just hope he's not gender confused LOL. I've shown him a female ambilobe before and he just ignored her. :( I'm pretty sure it was because she was in a cage though.

gorgeous! lol he is just doing what chams do when they see another as a possible threat or mate! its completely normal but i would advise not to let them see eachother it will cause stress!

He was 'head bobbing' - he obviously thought that the baby veiled looked like a female panther, lol!:D Maybe he wasn't mature enough to react to your female when you showed her to him - I bet he would react differently now he's older, lol! He's a gorgeous boy, bless him!

LOL-I produce some very confused chams! :) I also have some that fire up for strange reasons, including seeing a female of a different species, or seeing a toy lizard, or the dogs!

Eb looks great-I think he is the most colorful of that clutch!

My guy....

My one guy will head bob when he sees my other guy.... so I guess it is either territorial or he is gender confused!?

:D

Seems to be more of a territorial display though because he will only do it if they are free ranging and end up on the same tree.

Well, I have a Jackson's that will only do this to my petit nosy be male, going as far as trying to mount him when they've snuck onto the same free range together! He won't do it to any of my other panthers or my female veiled, but he is just madly in love with poor Cobalt, it seems like! lol Needless to say, Othello has been exiled to his own space.

If mine get territorial with each other they tend to darken up. But if he's getting prettier, he may be showing off for what he percieves as a lady :D He's absolutely beautiful, though.
