My chameleon seems to be trying to eat this and im afraid it can hurt him.

It is a deodorizer for the terrarium.

The white stuff on it is reptocalcium

Take it out, why is it even there? Chameleons cages should not will not stink. If it stinks then you are not cleaning enough or something is wrong.

it didnt stink it just came with the cage bundle so i thought it would just refreshen the cage :3 like ferbreze in the house.

Ya bad idea. Its unnecessary and will cover smells that may occur. You need to know if a smell does happen as it indicates an issue that you need to fix.

If you are concerned about smells, you could just set your deodorizer beside the cage..

Don't put that in there. You don't know if it will poison him. Your cage shouldn't smell bad. If you are pickin up his poo and misting, your cage should smell great. Remember, it doesn't take a lot to poison these guy's tiny delecate bodies
