Isopod Overload

Hey!
As you may know, I switched to bioactive a month or two ago, and I was wondering if it is normal for there to be THOUSANDS of isopods in the cage? Every piece of wood I flip over has hundreds of baby isopods under it. Is this normal? Am I going to have to start an isopod genocide? I can't really picture the whole enclosure with that many adult isopods in it.

P.S. Maybe I can sell them...

Is for me. and boy are they hungry. 5sqft that is 18 inch deep. I can cover the area with a trash bag of leaf litter, and they can mow through it in less than 2 months. All is left is stems.

They escape? Really? Well crap! I have my chams in my bedroom. Maybe it is time to move them to the dining room.
Yeah sometimes you have a few that escape, they will usually die after awhile since the can’t find moisture and dirt. It was a mama to, when I picked it up I looked at the underbelly and you could see all the babies inside of her.

Sometimes I find earwigs running around the house, they also have made a home in my cages. I even have millipedes roaming but again they always die the moment they leave the cage, 20% in my house. Pray mantis have also escaped and just roaming the house eating all the stray bugs it can find, found one eating another mantis, so savage.

Aren't millipedes poisonous? Don't they have cyanide and other nasties that could hurt the cham if it ate one?

Thats like asking if your pet human could get hurt if it ate too many apples or almonds. They all have about the same concentrate of prussic acid (but calling it "cyanide" sounds cooler) and its just to taste bad so bugs/animals wont eat it unless they are really hungry.

Oh...

"everything is poison, its only the dosage that changes" Its us hooomans that try to concentrate it, and make it into a gas to kill people
I get it, I just heard somewhere they had cyanide in them and so i always portrayed millipedes as something I would die if I ate

Well in other news, stink bugs are on the approved list :)
Yes.. Good to know. I get them in my house all the time. They gross me out bc they literally have no fear and idrk, they walk slow and it’s creepy I guess (lol). They’ll just sit on my counter slowly walking Around. Time to get my payback *evil laugh*
