It's raining chameleons!

So yesterday I had two separate calls from people wanting to give us chameleons! I love when people just call and want to give me things - especially chameleons!

One I had to turn down due to lack of space and the fact that he had health issues I didn't feel I was the best to deal with. I did recommend to the owner that she contact Elisa at ChamEO for advice and I hope she does.

The one that came home with us is a young male veiled - he's in pretty good shape except for a bum eye. Oh, and a bad attitude! I think the eye is a minor injury and should be treatable. There are no signs of infection - the turret just seems a bit sunken in - not and in dehydrated - the other one is fine. He got a long shower yesterday and will get another today and I will be able to assess his condition further. He's very healthy overall though.

Pax - this is his bad eye side. It's usually open but it closes/squints frequently.

And I am hoping it's a trend that people just start giving me chameleons! I have a wish list! Maybe someone will give me a larger home as well so I have room for all of them!

Haha my wish list is like 20 chameleons deep.
ANd the new home would be great too!
I can imagine the tour, its a 6 bedroom house... 3 of the bedrooms are taken up by chameleons and their awesome full room free ranges!

Mine too!

Only three bedrooms for chameleons? All them for the chameleons and you can just sleep on a pull out sofa! I can see me ending up like that!

If it was just me, i would be on the couch! well the tempurpedic mattress would be in the living room.
I could probably squeeze out two more rooms to make 5 cham rooms, but the hubby would put his foot down.

he only tolerates the lizards, and sometiems helps water them when im at work....
but... with a dog, cat, ferret, two chams, and a 75 gallon fish tank.. he already thinkgs its too much.

Just wait till he finds out that im going to be breeding my two boys to okiroos two girls this coming summer! ;) then splitting the babies!
