I've been bit...

So I think I got bit by the chameleon bug...meaning I want another chameleon :)

I've had my baby for almost 3 weeks now and even though we had a little scare last week he is doing well now. I think I want a panther next. All of the gorgeous pictures on this forum hasn't been helping either lol. I noticed MANY of you have more than one chameleon. How long did it take for you guys to get your next one?? Any advice other than finances (I always take into consideration what it will cost me and to have saved for vet expenses). I'm not the type of person to get an animal and half ass it on the care of the animal. I'm obviously not going to go out and get one tomorrow but I was thinking of getting one from kammerflage since they are local.

Well... I got my male veiled in february of 2011. october 2011, I bought my male hoehnelli. then in december I took on a female veiled.. january I took on a nosey faly, february I got a female hoehnelli, then a couple weeks ago i got some jackson twins...

final count 7.

:D

and kammers is great!

Im in the same boat as you haha. I have had my female veiled for almost 2 months now and all i want to get is another cham. Im also local and want my next cham to be a kammer baby :D

I got my two panthers last year from the Cham company, 175 4 males and 125 for additional animals, and I just ordered 2 more panthers from them. So almost 4.

I ordered my Abilobe right after it was born in Nov 2011... But obviously had to wait until it was old enough to arrive. I received my Sambava in Nov 2012. My Ambilobe was old enough to ship and I received him in Feb. Then I received my veiled in March I believe (would need to check my records. They were all over 3.5 months when I received them.

I made sure each time that I had all their homes completely set up and a vet fund for all of them before I even ordered them. I am home all day so I knew I would be able to tend to their needs without buying a automatic mister. That is the one thing I have yet to buy... but will probably get soon as it would cut back on a sitter if I would need one.

Well i adopted a 8 month old Veiled in October 4th 2011. Then Ordered a male Ambliobe Panther from The Kammers on 11-23-11. Then i ordered a male Ambanja from LanceChams on 12-17-12. Then i just ordered 2 female Ambliobes (one from Suzi here on the forum and other other from the Kammers).

So i average a Cham a month!! lmaoo

Iv had a male blue bar set up in my bedroom for about 5 days now nd I already want to get a female! Lol! But my girlfriend won't let me set up another 1 in my little boys room lol not yet anyway :)

If I could convince my boyfriend that we needed two more panthers, i'd have them in a heart beat.

You are all brave and insane! I've had mine a few weeks and it's probably coz she's a rescue, but I'm so scared I won't look after her properly I daren't get any more chameleons for a long while!

Yeah I have had my ambilobe for 2 months now and with him moving into his adult cage soon there will be a nice vacancy to fill. Im looking to go with a Nosy Faly next when the financials are in order. As much as I would love to have one here now I agree with what K9luvin said about having a vet fund in order. Even though there havent been any incidences yet its best not to take any chances.
