I've read about feeding snails.....

I'm aware that several members breed and feed snails. I managed to come across several, quarter sized Europeon land snails, the type often used for Escargot. I'm imagining the potential for teeth being broken, sharp bits of shell lacerating the GI tract or puncturing the mouth and leading to infraction. Am I over thinking this? Are snails that have fairly hard shells really safe, when we are being advised to remove the back legs from locust or spiny legs from mantids, hissing cockroaches, and the like? Inquiring minds want to know!

If your feeding snails you have to raise and breed them, your supposed to feed young snails. I am not sure of the size they need to be, but at certain sizes their shells are soft enough to be eaten.
