Hi all,

I know Veiled chameleons eat fruits/vegetables but what about Jacksons? Do they eat stuff other than insects?

Thanks

Hi guys! Ok... Im new with chams only been at it like 3 weeks. And i only own a jackson. Well he was feeded only crikets at petsmart when i got him. Now i placed a super (the ocacional only) and he dosnt eat it!! I think he likes more crikets cuz they move around a lot and enjoys running trough the cage to hunt them... He even waits for them to run to get to them and catch them :p Im waiting for silkworms to hatch and grow a bit to try and feed him. Any tips on how to get him to eat superworms? Should i starve him for a day and then place a super... His only eaten one on saturday. His only 5-6 months old. Oh and btw i think they only eat insects XD

I have caught my jacksons munching on hybiscus flowers in the past, usually the red colored blooms. I keep a miniature hybiscus in their enclosures.

they love habiscus flowers, a lot of chams do, they are very sweet, and seeing how most jacksons can be found in hawaii (even tho they werent origionally from there) they took a liking to the flowers :) also, any types of insects. there are videos of them eating snails too! they're ultimate favorite is blue bottle flies :)
