I haven't got a good pic yet.
He hasn't fallen & nobody has handled him since I brought him home.
I don't believe he can see my veiled because of all the plants in their cages, but I guess it might be a possiblity.
He's in my dinning room. It's not the quietest place in the house, but he is off in the corner where nobody is walking right next to him.
 
picture could definitely help especially for those more experienced than I.

Plants are not enough to separate i would put a complete visual barier up although many say one species ignores another. no risk involved possible gain

a complete barrier is the standard for housing chams. i have 3 types that i use; fish tank plastic backgrounds (they come in a sheet you cut to size). foam core boards, and most cheeply (and my favorite) a large trash bag cut to fit the dimensions of the side i cover and held up by using a glue gun (the glue sticks to the alum cage for months at a time.

he may feel intimidated by seeing another cham - and therefore not eat...it's a good possibility worth investigating!

Well, I have a new update on my jackson. I thought maybe the crix weren't catching his eye anymore & threw a moth in there. I was right. It was gone in no time. So, the end result is that I need to find a bigger variety of foods for him. Thanks for everyones help.
 
his horns are nicely developed. can you get a pic w/a reference - like on a finger, hand or have a dollar bill in the back ground? mine are about 7 mos old and they look similar but it is hard to tell w/out the reference
 
I don't know why I didn't think of that....duh! I'll try to get more pics tomorrow. He's already asleep for the night & I don't want to disturb him.
 
I'm glad your little guy has eaten for you, but I would still consider taking him to a vet for a proper check-up. To be perfectly honest, his colours seem a little off to me and he is slightly skinny. Don't panic, he doesn't look horrible, but I think he could look better and a proper exam will help. Obviously the earlier you can rectify a health problem in a chameleon, the better chance he has for survival. Don't forget to bring a fresh poo sample to the appointment.

Also are you completely convinced he is a CB specimen? (Pet stores don't have the greatest reputation for honesty and proper advice.) WC animals come with their own stack of problems that can be difficult for a new keeper.

Your humidity level should be at least 80%. Aim for that. There also isn't much of a difference between your ambient and basking temps (75-80) see if you can't change the light to create more of a gradient, and thus more choice, of where he sits,

:( Rudis passed away today. I only had him for about 2 weeks.
he started looking a little bit dehydrated & I put him in the shower this morning, he seemed to love it. After his shower we managed to get a wax worm in him. After that he seemed to perk up a little. I was going to pu him back in the shower tonight but found him dead this afternoon.:(
 
Thank you. I have a feeling that he wasn't very healthy when I got him. The problems started right after I brought him home.
 
i had the same problem with a pair of montium females i purchase bothed died in less than a week
