We would like to take this moment to announce a few species that we will be bringing in from Tanzania. These animals are scheduled to arrive mid December.
As was the case with the last WC shipment that was brought in (Kenya) we expect very high quality animals. What sets us apart is that we have a very close relationship with the exporter which allows that truly only hand selected animals are being sent to us. To that point, during the last Kenya shipment we had zero losses on the import. Unheard of with WC shipments.
The point is we seek and expect that you will receive only quality animals.
We will start with trioceros Rudis (Red or Jeweled variety).
Although the normal Rudis are a common animals, this variation certainly is not. There are very few present in the US and the opportunities to get them are minimal.
These animals are offered at $650/pair plus $50 shipping.
Next up, and something that has become very popular,
Rampholeon accuminatus!!!
If you are a Pygmy Lover, these are a must have. Coming off of the most recent import where we had a number of pair of these come in and sell, there has been much renewed interest. In addition, the quality of the animals was outstanding.
We have also just come to know that the IUCN Chameleon Specialist Group completed the IUCN Red List Assessments for all remaining chameleon species last year and we have been told the final assessments for these species, including R. acuminatus, will be released next month. Our understanding is that these assessments will show that the conservation status of R. acuminatus is of great concern. We don't know what this will mean as far as future availability of this species is concerned, but its important that the animals that have already been exported from Tanzania end up in breeding situations
To that point, we would very much like to see many people work to breed these animals in the US so we will be bringing in another import of them.
