Nathan said:
“As for parking, everyone is welcome to park in the garage structure that is attached on the south side of the building. Later in the evening, the gate may be closed but I have a card key to open it. Otherwise, there is plenty of street parking in front of the building.”
The "South Bay Chameleon Keepers" (SBCK) meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. These free-of-charge meetings are pretty much free-flowing, with all chameleon topics open for discussion. "Show and Tell" discussions are common. We continue to experiment with group bulk-buys (silkworms, hornworms, superworms, crickets, dubias etc.) at our meetings. Some members may be bringing these feeders to sell but that's not guaranteed. Let us know if you are looking for these feeders (or anything else) and we'll try to confirm availability (pre-ordering) before the meeting. Some keepers bring their chameleon books and magazines along with other various items to spark discussions.

Don't hesitate to RSVP with an email to: [email protected] if you think you might be coming. Didn't RSVP? Come anyway!

On your way and got lost? For this meeting, call Dave Weldon on his cell phone# 310-600-4793.

Our group ranges from long-time breeders to novice keepers. Lately, there have been 25+ members attending. There are usually new members at every meeting.

No guarantees but there are usually snacks and drinks brought-in by some of the attendees.
You’re welcome to bring some too!

See You There,
SBCK

(NOTE)
The www.chameleonforums.com has added a "Social Group" area that our SBCK members can associate themselves to by requesting an "Invite" (https://www.chameleonforums.com/groups/south-bay-chameleon-keepers.html). Our purpose for having the SBCK Group area on this Forum is to help SBCK members keep track of who & how to contact other SBCK members. The term "Member" is used loosely to mean anyone who attends the free meetings. If you have no intention of ever attending any of the face-to-face meetings there is no benefit to being part of the group and you will likely not be "Added" or kept in this Social Group list . This SBCK group area is not intended to replace the main forum. Use the regular Forum area for all posts. Use the SBCK group area as a means of locating other SBCK members to send PMs etc. Continue to use the latest monthly "Meeting Invite" posting as a place to post to the SBCK members that are also "ChameleonForums" members. There are still a few SBCK members that are not yet Forum members but continue to receive their notices via the [email protected] emails. It also appears, for the moment, that Junior Member status on the ChameleonForums does not yet have enough "Permission Level" to join a Social Group.

Reminder.

In addition to Dr. Stein speaking he has generously donated a raffle prize of a FREE office visit, fecal AND blood work. Members have to be present to be eligible so please plan to attend.

We also will have a photo shoot with Dr. Stein and member chameleons for his records and possibly blow ups for his booth at the Anaheim show. It would be nice to have as many species as possible. Ryan has kindly offered to bring animals so if you could email me what animal you have and we can coordinate so we don't end up with an abundance of one type and none of another. If there's an overlap I'm sure Dr. Stein will be happy to have them and of course we would provide you with a copy of the photo.

Right now I'm trying to rope Dave Weldon into being the photographer. If any members are photographers and would be willing to do the shooting I would appreciate you PM or emailing me.

After picking up twenty thousand crickets today, I thought I should post this today before I forget. I'll be doing a Cricket run so let me know if you want any for pick-up at the meeting.

500 crickets = 5.00
1000 crickets = 10.00
1000 superworms = 15.00
1000 mealworms = 6.00
250 waxmorms = 5.00

I'm looking for Hydei FF - Elisa
and Hornworms and silks, hopefully - Kevin

Probably not making it to this one either. I feel like I am missing all the fun, but I had some scheduling issues.

I will make it to the next one though. See you all then.

@ Steve:
Put me on the list for 500 crickets (1/8" size)
I also have excess Hydei's culture.
I can give you one culture if you like (better than let them go to waste).

@ Tylene:
do you still want to split the cost for Flies/ BB flies? Let me know how many you want. I will order tonight or tomorrow.

@ Anybody:
Anybody have bunch of Mulberry leaves?
I would love to purchase a bag.

@ Kev:
I would like to order 4 cup of tiny tiny hornworms as usual.

Steve - 500 mediums please.

Anyone have a jungle backdrop like a large poster or something. Might be nice to put behind Dr. Stein for the photos.

Steve-
Can I get 500 1 week old crickets? I need superworms, but not 1000, can I split them with some one?
Thanks!
Tylene

dodolah-I'll go in on some BB flies. I don't think I need more than 100 though. Steve might want some too.

Done. I ordered 100 BB flies for you.
C ya tuesday night.
For next month meeting, anybody wants houseflies please order so we can buy bulk purchase and split the cost.

Thanks.

Should I pick up 10 cultures for you? Anyone else?

Howdy,

Okay, we need someone to admit that they have jungle print bed sheets :). If anyone has something like that, bring it for the backdrop.

Is there anyway that someone could film the lectures of the guest speakers for every month? That way people who aren't able to make it, can still listen and learn from the informative speeches.

Steve,

Can we get 1000 mediums and 1000 smalls (about 1/4 inchers)?

Thanks!!

I have dubias and hissers available if anyone wants me to bring some.:)

I could use some dubias... I moved ours to a larger bin and I accidentally left it cracked... so our males got out! I'm out of males... but I'd be willing to buy a mix or whatever you have to spare. Just let me know. I'd like to get at least 3 males if anyone has any to spare. :)
