Just a few questions

In owning sub-adult and adult chameleons I've always found myself using large screened in enclosures, but lately I've been wondering about an open enclosure. Is there any real advantage or disadvantage to a well established open enclosure? Also, I've seen a few pictures of people feeding insects to their animals through the use of a cup. How hard is it to establish this type of eating habit? Also how would you present this new style of feeding to your chameleon?

I've never tried to do an open enclosure. I would *think* (that can be dangerous!) that it would be great if:
1) You don't have other animals, like a cat, that would want to eat your cham
2) You don't mind the occational feeder running around
3) You have it set up so the cham can't escape
4) You can still keep the humidity up

I have fed my cham mostly out of a cup (I let a couple free range each feeding to let him hunt). I don't actually use a cup, I use a 1/2 gallon plastic milk jug cut down on 2 sides and then glued screen inside so the crix will climb up and down the screen and attract the attention of the cham. I have picts in my gallery.
