Just crickets

My Jackson Cham will only eat crickets for some reason. I've tried mealworms and he doesn't touch them. I haven't tried any other foods because where I live I either have the option of crickets or mealworms. I want to try something other than crickets so he has more options of food any suggestions?

Check the internet and see if you can order something else. Silkworms and Horn worms are both highly regarded as feeders.

If Dubia roaches are legal where you are they are also highly regarded. They are also supposed to be very easy to raise which might make them the most affordable feeder option.

Where are dubia roaches illegal? I never heard that before

There are many feeder options. If you can't buy any where you live you can always catch something! My boy love grasshoppers :)

Wow I never heard that before, do you happen to know the reason? I know there are some scary big bugs in Florida but dubias aren't that big

I guess cause we already have a pretty abundant roach population down here and they don't want another species invading.

Well I really didn't want to get into roaches with them but if I absolutely have to for his health then I would do it. But thank you for your help

I can't argue that, there are some wild roaches down there. I'm guessing that dubias could breed and populate down there since its similar to their native land..same with sparty there in Hawaii..I live in the mountains of southwest Pennsylvania and not much can survive a winter here so that's why they're legal here I guess
