Hello! I've had Guac since May. I was just hoping to double check my husbandry as well as ask about his back legs, if they look slightly swollen to anyone? I'm beyond paranoid about him with everything
Chameleon Info:
Cage Info:
Current Problem - Double checking husbandry & his legs seem a touch swollen to me. I might just be paranoid. His grip is excellent (he scratches me up pretty good when I hold him, lost feeling in one finger when he wrapped his lil oven mitt around it once lol)
Thanks for any input, he's my baby and I want to make sure he's kept as best I can
Chameleon Info:
- Your Chameleon - Veiled, male, 11? months. Unsure when I purchased him. Had him since May
- Handling - Almost never, only when necessary. He is a grouchy boy.
- Feeding - Crickets, superworms, hornworms, BSFL when I can find them. Hoping to get Mantis this spring. He also eats his pothos. Gutload with celery, collard, kale & Repashy.
- Supplements - Zoomed Calcium w/o D3 at every feeding (every other day), with D3 & vitamin twice a month each, rotated
- Watering - Use a Mistking and a dripper. I see him drink
- Fecal Description - When I find them, they're brown, solid, and seem to be of normal size from my research. Urates are either bright white or white with slightly orange tip, when I see that I give him extra mistings.
- History - Purchased from Petsmart, he was blind and dying. Was taken to a vet, his eyesight is back and excellent in both eyes.
Cage Info:
- Cage Type - Homemade - screen and pine wood. 2x2x4.
- Lighting - 50w incandescent for basking, 5.0 UVB Reptisun strip bulb, 5AM-5PM on timer.
- Temperature - Basking ranges from 88-92, about 80 in middle, 75+ at bottom (he rarely goes to the bottom anyway). 75 at night.
- Humidity - 40-60 during the day at the top, 70+ from middle down during the day, 70 overall at night
- Plants - Massive Pothos plant, with a few small artificial ones. He's never bitten the fake ones. Eats the pothos.
- Placement - In living room corner, only 3 people live here and he has never been bothered by it. Only gets stressed when people are in his cage, not near it.
- Location - BC, Canada
