Sorry there's nothing wrong with my chameleon but i didn't know where else to post. I read somewhere 2 years ago when i firts got my veiled that they get to about 2ft long and shedding slows down or stops. well my cham is 2 1/2 years old and is ALWAYS shedding. I up and up and up the humidity and spray heavily during watering and its like his shedding never lets up the second he gets the skin off he starts to shed again. Is something wrong with him? Is this just normal? Will it continue throughout his life expectancy?

i forgot to mention he pretty much stays agitated running around the cage rubbing all over everything to get the skin off. poor guy

well i just read elsewhere that once they hit a year their shedding slows down to every 2-3 months. well my guy must be setting a record because he still sheds monthly and he's almost 3 years old.

I think you can purchase a shed aid. i only heard of it but never used it. my guy is only 1.3 years old and his sheds about 3-5 days. and then not again till about 4-5 weeks. i give him baths and he really likes it during his shed because he takes it, but when its not time to shed he doesn't stay under the water much. try placing him on a tree of sort or a vine in your shower and just spray him lightly like natural rain. i put my shower on mist setting and it sprays small and fine. sometimes you just have to give them a helping hand with their shed. but look into the humidity for a veiled, it might be slightly different then mine (a panther chameleon)

the humidity is different. but he does let me spray him directly because when i go to mist his cage he comes over and tries to drink from the spray bottle as i'm spraying ( he is lazy, and smart!) he will usually sit until he is soaked and then he trods off. i have raised the humidity into the 90s which helps a lot but it doesnt slow down how often he sheds. yesterday he just shed all the skin around one of his turrets like it all came off in a hunk and now today the skin around his eye area has gone dull and is about to shed AGAIN. i feel sorry for him!

There's alot of people more knowledgeable than myself about these guys...but I think if he's going to you to actually drink the water than that means he's not getting enough water throughout the day.
What colors has his urate been?
