Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to share some pictures of the new addition to our family, Thor. I've been wanting to get an Orange Eye Parson's for a couple years now and was lucky enough to pick up this little guy from @Garrett. He's around 11 months old now and is from the same clutch as the females that are currently posted in the classifieds. Garrett was awesome to work with and I'd totally recommend him to anyone else looking for a Parson's
Here are a couple pictures that Garrett sent me prior to shipping him out:
And here are a couple of him getting settled in to his new home yesterday:
In case anyone's curious about the setup, he's currently in a 24"x18"x36" Exo Terra screen cage with a cork background and cleaned and sanitized branches from my tree. The are a few pothos and a small schflerra
planted in a DIY planter box/cage base that is set up to be bioactive with a drainage layer, fast draining soil, springtails, and eventually some isopods once they get here... There's a Mist King set up for the long misting sessions he'll need and a ZooMed T5/LED fixture with a 6% Arcadia bulb for UV and a 75W bulb for basking. And yes this is just a temporary setup while he's still small. Once he starts to out grow this cage I have a 24"x36"x54" DIY cage ready to go and am planning on building an even bigger custom enclosure when he's ready
