Cage Info:
Cage Type - Wood framed with 1/4" screen on all sides. 24x24x48.
Lighting - The tube light is in a petco hood, 7% UVB Bulb. 8.5" Clamp lamp with a 150w bulb. They are on a timer and come on at 7am and go off at 7 pm
Temperature -The basking area is between 90 and 94, and overnight the temp drops to about 70.
Humidity - Normally a little over 50%
Plants - There are 2 Ficus trees, along with a hibiscus.
Location - The cage is located in a spare room next to a window and the top is about 7 feet from the floor.
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male Veiled, about 5" body length. Unknown age? Ive had him for about a week now.
Handling - Hardly at all. Once every 2 or 3 days?
Feeding - Medium-large crickets. I put about 10 in a at a time and its usually about a day before they are all gone. Mealworms occasionally. The crickets get the orange cricket cubes.
Supplements - The crickets get dusted lightly with jurassical at every feeding. I need to get a multivitamin and a D3 supplement.
Watering - I mist once in the morning and let the dripper drip about once a second for 3 or 4 hours. He Likes to drink from the dripper as long as its warm water-I've even seen him sit under it and try to catch the drops in his mouth. He usually just licks it off the leaves though.
Fecal Description -Dark colored pellet looking-a little yellow.
History -
Current Problem - I just want to double check everything I've got going on.

THe only pictures I have right now are from my phone-excuse the quality.:D

i think you got every thing covered you could probably gut load a bit better and use a multi vite twice a month and cal with d3 couple times a month but use calcium with out d3 bout every day

Thanks Brad. I think I've read your whole site twice and I'll probably read it again tonight!

thats a nice cage here come the nit pickers to eat you alive son

Why would the nit pickers want to eat his son? Feeling a little cynical today? Damn...

Chef:
You might want to upgrade to a reptisun 5.0, I don’t have much faith in those off brand lights. Also, make sure you take the plastic off the bottom that comes with those fixtures.

Also, id recommend ditching the substrate that it looks like you have on the bottom. Other than that looks good!

Howdy Donnie,

Nice looking enclosure :). As was mentioned, using a ZooMed Reptisun 5.0 linear tube in place of your current 18" tube is a good way to eliminate some UVB issues (the fixture is ok). Also, be sure that he is getting within 6"-12" of it or else it won't have much effect. You'll want to tune the basking light height such that when he is getting UVB (at 6"-12") he is not getting cooked by the 150W basking light . We've already seen plenty of basking light "burn" posts :(. I see what appears to be 3 domes, including one inside the enclosure. What's-up with that ?

Is that a big mirror next to his enclosure? If so then figure out how to move things so that he can't see himself.

If his urates are still looking a bit yellow then he may need more water uptake. That'll be something to work on. Misting systems are on "special" at Herpmist https://www.chameleonforums.com/herpmist-black-friday-sale-18030/ :D.

Removing the enclosure floor substrate will eliminate a number of problems including parasite re-infections.

Dave, The basking branch at the top is about 6" from the basking light and the uvb hood-thats where the temp probe is thats getting about 90-94 is also. The dome inside the cage is actually the "little dripper", and the second one on top used to be a nightlight-until I read Brad's website! Those misters are nice, but I might have to figure out something else until I get some extra cash!

I am in the middle of ordering a herpmist one cage special....do I need the chameleon upgrade kit? All it has that the special doesnt have is the bulkhead nozzle....Any other reccomendations for setting it up? Which nozzle and how long and what time of the day?

I think all you would need is the one cage special... It looks like it comes with the cage hootanany anyhoo. I use the Red nozzle and the times are all up to you and the cham... See how long it has to be on for him to drink and how long for the cage to dry then just figure out what you wana run. The timer is really easy to set up.

Here are some pictures from just a minute ago-He seems to be happy!
