Hi,
Could someone tell me if this is a good checklist for a juvenile Panther?
24x24x36 cages
Ficus Plant
humidifier
Strip Light
Zoo mEd 10.0
Inc. FixturHalogen Bulb
Vines and Branches
Drip System

Thanks,
Zach

Use the reptisun 5.0, the 10.0 is too much. Also you should use a blue day light heat bulb.

Blue day light heat bulb???? Not questioning it but why?

I'd say you would do just fine with a clear 5.0 AVB linear bulb and a normal (clear) heat source.

I use night bulbs (RED) which seems to keep the heat up in my viv really well and also doesnt allow a bright light at night, waking the lil one. A decent (habistat) day / night thermostat will do really well. :)

Not sure where you live but if you mist, have a dripper going and some live plants you should not need a humidifier. I live in FLA so am lucky inside and out with the humidity.

You can get a 24x24x48 cheaper then a 24x24x36 from LLLReptile. I have a 5 month olds panther in there now doing great. I'm assuming you haven't got the equipment yet?

Actually i was thinking of 18X18X36.Should I go ahead and get the 24? No I just thinking I have not bought anything yet. Thanks,
Zach

well if your going to get a juvenile i would go with the 24X24X48, they need room to move around and explore.

Babies are a different story with cage size and how much you have in it.
