Juvenile Veiled Chameleon Adjustment

Good morning,
I recently got a new Juv. chameleon. He is roughly 6 inches long. I got him home last Saturday and he has only gone through maybe 8 crickets. I was hoping it was because he is adjusting but I don’t know how long to wait to be super concerned. He seemed better this morning and appeared to have eaten some more crickets over night. He does have UBV and heat lamps. He has a damp environment through misting and the drip water source. He has vines, branches, and plants. His crickets are being fed the gut supplement and being dusted. I am keeping my yoga room warm and there is not a lot of activity outside of myself in the room. I am not handling him outside of bringing him home to try to help ease stress as well.
Thoughts? Advice?

Hi and welcome! Congratulations on your new addition! It is not uncommon for new chameleons to have an adjustment period, sometimes it can last days to weeks. It depends on the chameleon and how the enclosure is set up. Just based off of what info you provided I would recommend a full husbandry review so we can help you through this and get your little guy/girl eating and thriving! If you can fill out the help form with as much detail as possible that would really help. Also, provide pictures of the entire enclosure including the lights as well as the chameleon so we can confirm if it is a male or female. The best way to fill out the answers is to copy and paste the help info.
