Well, I knew it was coming, as she's been digging for the last few days and her egg bumps were clearly visible for the last 2 weeks or so. I came home to find she had laid a total of 12 eggs. 3 were in her laying bin but uncovered and the rest were sort of strewn about the cage. No harm done though as she didn't retain any and after some heavy misting and an hour or so under the dripper she's back to normal.
I'm shocked that she doesn't look tiny after laying all those eggs, she still is at a good weight and looks great. The only issue was that she irritated her eye while digging somehow and it is still a bit swollen... I gently rinsed it out with water but I'll keep an eye on it. I have to say I was a little nervous when I saw the eggs just laid in the dirt like that but she seems none the worse for wear and the eggs look good so I'll keep my fingers crossed and hopefully in 10 months or so have some baby boehmei.
So now in addition to my panther eggs I've got a clutch of T. montium (and by the looks of mom, another clutch soon to follow) and a clutch of K. boehmei. Not bad
