hey everyone. Log time since i'v posted, but I'm worried about Karma.

For the past few weeks, she hasn't been eating vey much and she hasn't been drinking either.

I know she's becoming dehydrated, and I'm doing everythng I can to hydrate her. She drank from a syrinnge for about 3 min just a few minutes ago. She would usualy drink at least once per day for about 5 minutes, (I turned on the drip system about 4 or 5 times a day) but now she only drinks maybe once every 2 or 3 days.

I also noticed that I can see right through her. (well almost) She was under her light, and I could clearly see her ribcage, and well, it looked hallow, except for some silhouette of organs near her belly. Is this normal?

I'm really worried about her. I haven't changed my routine with her, because she was just fine with it.

I dn't know if it's because of the weather that's she's being like this (it's winter here right now) but I don't want this to go on for much longer.

I'm wondering if I should take her to the vet, but I don't know what they could do for her, if anything. Also, it's pretty cold out right now -11C, and I don't want to shock her with a temperature change (even though it would only be for a second.

Any suggestions/advice?

Yes, pictures would be good.

I will say that with a bright enough light, you can see through pretty dense animals. When we got our chihuahua puppy we joked about "candling" her...then held her up to the light and realized we could see pretty much everything. (she was tiny for a dog...weighed about half a pound and fit in my hand)

That sort of leads me to think you have a very bright light in the area. I'm not smart enough about chameleons to know if that's a problem, but it's just something that seems apparent. Did you recently change the bulb in a lamp?

My thinking is if you are asking yourself "should I take her to a vet?" then the answer is "yes"...It's just my take on it, but if taking the chameleon to a vet was out of the question for any reason, you wouldn't have phrased it that way.

Make sure you check the resources here which will help you find a good specialist in your area and get your baby in to see the doctor.

Look at it this way: if they tell you it's nothing, then the relief from the stress you are feeling now is more than worth the cost of the vet visit.
