Keeping food in plain sight of Le Chameleon

I don't know if this is a good idea-- but I realized yesterday after I fed my Chameleons I left the Cricket cage in front of the Chameleon cage.

My Veiled is a machine, he can eat-- after I fed him his crickets, he was starring at the Cricket container-- it's one of those clear one's with dark tubes.

Is it a good idea? do they get sick of looking at their food and it effects them when they eat?

do they get frustrated when they see food in front of them? should I hide the food from plain sight so they get hungry and it's a better surprise when they finally eat?

will they drool? idk if they do, is it teasing them?

i'm not sure but all he does is when the cricket cage is near his cage, he goes right to the corner and just stares right at them for hours and does not move --

he is very active but once i leave the cricket box, he's still like a statue looking at them or studying them.

It's probably like teasing a kid with a candy bar that they can't have. Or putting a doggy treat in front of your dog and not letting him have it. I'd put the crickets out of site ;)

I'd be worried he'd try to grab one if he can see them, and maybe hurt his tongue. I'd keep the feeders out of sight, just in case!
