Keeping the Humidity Up at Night?

I know I cannot mist at night, but I noticed last night the humidity in my GLASS cage dropped down to 25%.

Is there any way to raise the humidity at night? Would putting a cup of water in there help at all?

Yeah, but this is Arizona, very DRY state, maybe that is it? My humidity stays up all day, but when it starts to get cold outside, it drops.

actually that is strange. humidity rise during nighttime.
Do you turn on a heater or something?
an ultrasonic humidifier turned on inside of your room might help (not the cage)

I was looking into getting a humidifier, I am just on a college budget so I need to wait til I get paid again (friday) to get one.

I don't use my heat at night, we turn it on for about 20 mins in the morning to warm up my apartment, but it's not on at any other time than that. It's arizona, it only gets to like 45 outside at night, our apartment stays warm all night.

Do I need to put the humidifier near his cage at all? Or just anywhere in my room is okay?

If you have a small room, the humidifier can be put anywhere.
The idea is raising the whole room humidity.
40% humidity is ideal anyway for both human and veiled.
And since the veiled is in the cage filled with real plants, the overall humidity in the cage will be higher.

My chameleon freak out seeing the cool mist coming out of my humidifier.
So, i put mine a bit far from the cage.

I have 2 real plants, and a fake plant. Does that make a difference?

If I put a cup of standing water in there, would that help? Ill put a screen over the top so nothing can get in..

umm I guess in theory you can do it.
But, you have to religiously clean that cup to avoid any possibility for bacteria growth.

Another great way to add humidity is by buying another live plants (small pothos, etc) and put it in the cage.
In fact, you can also purchase couple of plants and put it nearby the cage.
I recommend purchasing the ultrasonic humidifier.
But, a cool mist humidifier works too (although you want to clean it regularly and more often than ultrasonic one).

I recall target has one that priced 30 dollars. but, instead of one you get 2.

I got a cool mist humidifier at a thrift store for $3. Every thrift store i go into seems to have them too, piles of them. lol

Thanks, I will look for one this afternoon.

I picked up a small pothos from walmart for $4, I put it down and used it for walking vines, it makes it look alot nicer now too.
