Keeping wax worms alive????

Hello forum, I've been having trouble with wax worms and keeping them alive in my fridge. My fridge is 38 degrees F, and when I take them out they are just unconscious and won't move after one day! I keep them in wheat germ, because I dont have anything else. Drago
