Large caging

How old should a chameleon be before I can put him in a 2x2x4~(maybe 5') cage? I have a big setup with two cages, all hooked up to a mist king. I will like to get my younger one is there as soon as possible.

The main concern with putting a small chameleon in a large cage is their ability to find food. If you cup feed, hand feed, or if your chameleon is a good hunter then any time is fine.

I do cup feed. I guess I am mostly worried about him falling, or losing him in that cage lol

I built a 4x3x6 and put my male Jacksons in it five minutes later I couldn't find him. It took me 10 minutes to find him. But now I know his hiding spots so it usually takes two minutes or less to find him
