Pretty colors on this girl, but she wasn't too happy with the camera. :)

...and a few of the male. He also has some yellow on the side of the face, not as much as other male gracilior I've seen, but by the time I started taking some pics of him, he changed his color scheme. Nevertheless, he's still a beautiful animal. :)

You already know I am super jealous Laurie!!! But I am glad that if they are not coming to live with me the are going to be seriously spoiled at your house :D

Do you want to see more pics?? :D A few more of the male. By this time, he was showing more contrast, likely due to being a little more stressed.

I still have more. Aren't digital pics great! Isn't it sad though that I have to tell my kids, "back in my day, we used something called film."

I'm on a roll posting pics. I have to say it's a lot easier to rack up posts when they are so short. Laurie especially knows that I usually write in looooong paragraphs. I kind of like this simplicity. ;)

These are also slightly smaller then the nominate form correct?

Yes, they are slightly smaller overall, and they have a more slender build, lower dorsal crest, and caudal sail. The horns of gracilior are also longer and thinner. They also have looser folds of skin on the back of their thighs and shins.

Thanks so much Perry for holding them for me. Also a big thank you for the pictures. i will need to copy and keep the pictures forever as I will never be able to take pictures like that. Just before you send them to me, you will need to post more pictures of them. i will try when they arrive but - well what can I say??

Haha thanks Paul, dont forget the red nails ;)

Well since the weather is staying a boiling temps, all I need is someone driving from Kentucky to Montana, who will bring my chams to me and keep them cool and happy on the trip. How many dozen people want to offer to do this for me????
