Legal Feeders?

Recently it seems my grouchy boy has decided he's done with supers and iffy with crickets. I'm from Canada and have been unsuccessful in finding which feeders are legal to import here and which are not...anyone have any suggestions on what I can give him? All my local pet stores sell are crickets, hornworms, mealworms, supers, butters, and waxworms.

Thanks :p

Silkworms should be since domestic silkworms are incapable of going feral. Importing anything alive usually requires I elections to stay legal. Your pet shop may be able to order them for you if you take enough. Also ask about bottle fly maggots. They are used as fishing bait so may be legal and will keep in fridge for a long time. Let them update as needed.

I've heard all roaches are illegal there. Apparently tropical roaches enjoy the heat if Canada?

Phoenix worms, praying mantises (you can buy egg cases of 40 to 400 eggs for about $13. at home depot) are also allowed.
Try looking up beneficial insects...there are suppliers that sell the insects and the egg cases and they should all be legal because if they escape they cause no harm.

Note that silkworms eggs take a long time this hatch.

If they are regular silk worms they shouldn't take more than 2 weeks when sat next to a heat lamp. Raising them to a feedable size however can be frustrating. My guys take 3+ weeks to hatch because of their genetics.
