Although my beardie Spike hated his new bioactive enclosure and to keep him happy, I undid it, my sweet little leopard gecko’s seem to quite pleased with theirs. My special little Kirby was a bit confused at first, but he took pretty quickly to it. Of course all are in their hides when I took pics. Thanks to @jamest0o0 for some beautiful isopods.
The one I did at the beginning of the year is looking great. It’s a bit of a bigger tank so I was able to fit more in. Also, I used Great Stuff foam and did the back and the sides. Handsome loves it!
Tandy has a few more plants than Kirby. I used Gorilla glue and coco coir on just the back wall. A couple of unimaginative little ledges for a little climbing.
I admit I pretty much did these the same. Kirby’s plants are much smaller and fewer. Used a sprig of fake grass to hide his thermometer probe cord. Had the perfect piece of cork bark to give him a way to climb to and between his ledges. Feeding him may be a challenge. Besides jaw misalignment from mbd, I wonder if his vision is impaired as he very often seems to misjudge where the bug is. He’s never been able to figure out eating from a bowl. As I said, he’s my special little guy.
I had wanted to put some plants on the back wall, but ran out of Gorilla Glue and plants. In time I may add more.
And here are my sweet leos.
Handsome
Tandy
Kirby (up to 56 grams now from 35 when I first got him)
