licking

Has anyone ever noticed their chams licking the surface they are walking on as they go about their business? My vieled has never done so but my younger female ambilobe does it every now and again just like my beardies would. She is not dehydrated so I'm curious as to why? Just as a sense of taste perhaps?

It is mainly a panther thing... I have read that they do this to sense their surroundings, check for what has passed before, that sort of thing. I always think it is super cute when my panther does it! :D

I have a kinyongia multituberculata who does that a looot especially when he is roaming a new area or after I clean out his cage. Hence his name Slurp :)

Ohhh man. I know I picked right when I picked a panther xD He's going to LOVE the cat...cause she licks back xD
