lighting

Hey all I'm new to the forum . I'm setting up a cage for a veiled cham . I have a question about lighting in my enclosure . I have a 18x18x36 reptibreeze . I have a 160 watt power sun for lighting and I brought a ficus tree for the cage . Is that lighting gonna be enough for plant growth or should I add additional /different lighting ?:)

id reccomend not using a 160 watt bulb as a heat lamp for a chameleon. if your chameleon is juvenille when you get him then he will need a 60 watt bulb for heat. a 160 will be to hot, now you may use it to grow your ficus while your chameleon is not in there but sunlight is the best for growing plants. and switch to 60 watt when you get your chameleon.

Okay but my cage set up is in the basement so sun light doesn't get there . I'm trying to find a light / bulb that's best for the veiled and the ficus . When I step down to the 60 watt should I get a 60 w power sun . I want to just use the one light fixture if possible .

You will be much better with a separate uv strip and heat bulb compared to the combined bulb really. The powersuns give out a lot of heat.
