Ok so I was cleaning out the cricket/roach bin this morning. I looked at the egg crates and noticed these little bugs in there. I dont know if they were a clean up crew or what. But we think that they came with our last batch of crickets from petsmart.
I cleaned out the bin washed it with vinagar 'cause they overran the whole bin. Just received my order of crickets from mulberry farm and think thats who im going with for now on.

They were probably dermestids, which are great to have in your cricket bin, especially when you have dead crickets in there, as they bring the smell down by eating the dead crickets.

Dont hate them just because they are a bug. Theyre safe for reptiles to eat too!

I noticed 3 worm like bugs in mine today. didn't have time to check them out too close but about 1-2 inches long and kinda flat looking. same bugs as you?

Nope they didn't have hair on them and the longest one was 1/4 " :/
I noticed that before I put the latch of crickets in that I had enough crickets/roaches to last 3-4 months, now I only have enough for 2months. So idk if the worm things where killing off my feeders or not

I got a batch of red runner roaches from someone local and after all the roaches were gone i pulled out the egg crates. I heard a quiet ruffling and there was a small beetle like bug that lived inside the actual egg crate.

I got lesser meal worms in mine, they look like iddy biddy meal worms, and they hollow out the dead.
