I guess I got a two part question for the board.
Yesterday I was handling my 5month old Female Veiled chameleon and after I was done handling I broke out in Hives. Has anyone ever had that happen?
I am highly allergic to a plethora of odd things so it doesnt suprise me and it subsided after 30min.
Could I be adding Chameleon to my allergic list?
The reason I put it here in Health Clinic and not general disc. is because I was also curious if this might be a product of something on her claws.
I have handled her many times since I obtained her and never had this problem. She has gotten bigger so I assume her claws go in further when holding her now.
Is it maybe that her claws are dirty? Maybe some fecal matter or dead feeder material thats breeding bacteria on her claws?
I am not really sure so I figured Id ask. Her cage is basically what is described as standard among the boards and I try to remove all waste at the end of each day. Replacing cage liner once a month.
any info or incite appreciated
