Little questions that I can't find an answer to

Okay experts - I have a duel thermometer and humidity gauge in cage - should the gauges face out or in when attaching to cage? The back has little openings that to me should be inside cage not facing outside (Am I thinking too much)

Superworms seem to die with one drop of mist - my worm cups have tons of drainage holes in them, will horn worms and Dubais survive a few drops?

Have read if live plants in cage I should have a light for them - won't that mess with the cage temperature?

Finally - I've read all the posts about lighting - I'm replacing my reprtisun 5.0 bulb with a tube. Purchased a Zilla 50 desert model (T8) - returning for something else. Any suggestions? Any benefit for using 2 of them?

Calcium w/o D3 every day - with D3 twice a month, alternating with a multivitamin, correct? If I get him outside once a week (I'm in CT) in the summer, should I skip the D3?

Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated

They should be inside the cage but the analog humidity gauges are incredibly inaccurate and when you hang it close to the baskingspot it will always read a lower value than the humidity is in the ambient part of the cage.

Hornworms and dubia should be fine with a few drops, superworms are just very bad with water, I guess they don't encounter a lot of water in nature and so just haven't evolved to deal with it and drown very quickly.

Not sure what kind of suggestions you want... If you mean using 2 UVB lamps at the same time I wouldn't unless your enclosure is very big.

Correct, and if you keep em outside you can indeed provide less D3... It may just be easiest for you to get sticky tongue farms miner-all outdoor if you keep him out regularly, or you can get both and use the indoor one for the times that he's indoors.

Reptisun 5.0 is a good UVB bulb. The t5 or t8 linear bulbs will do good. the basking bulb should be separate. You can use a house bulb or halogen bulb and adjust wattage or fixture height to get the desired basking temp.
