Live Plant Selection

Hello Everyone,
Yesterday we purchased a Jackson Chameleon and a ten gallon fish tank for it. We are in the process of acquring a twenty gallon tank that has a mesh top that is the same size as the tank that goes on top to add some height. Right now our tank is very bare, just have a few fake peices of wood and two fake plants. I know we need more stuff but we aren't sure what to get. We are going to go to Lowes later to try to find some real plants, can anyone recomend a few plants that we could get there and put into the tank?
I read the live plants section but I am still a little confused, if someone can inform me as to what to specificly look for, I would really apprecaite it.
There is also a Walmart garden center near us, we can stop there too.

Thanks a lot,
Mike

I got a ficus benjamina plant from lowes for 12 bucks. it was about 2 - 3 feet high. and also a schefflera plant from there which was the same price. Those are my two recommendations and are usually the most favorite

You need a fully screened cage for him.

Supplements?
Gutloading your feeders?

That is WAY too small to use with a chameleon, unless he is under 2 months old, even then its too small.

I hope you didnt get your cham at a petstore, but that is what it sounds like, do you have the proper lighting and everything?

You can use Scheffelera and Benjamina ficus for live plants as well as many others. Hibiscus are great too, when they start to bloom in my Chams cage she eats them. They are a real treat for her! Good luck with your new Cham! I would take the advice of the others and get rid of the GLASS AQUARIUM, your Cham needs airflow, BIG TIME! You don't want to have problems. You will if you house your cham that way. Congrats and good luck!
