i normally don't use this new term "fail" but i think it fits this story...
so i ordered 8 spiny flower nymph mantids and got a cup of 100 blue bottle pupae and a cup of 100+ lobster roaches for FREE!!! how sweet right? mantis only cost 6 bucks each!
now about the lobster roaches........
i opened the deli cup and tossed em all into a glass tank. i didn't like how the tank's screen lid was fairly loose.. so i planned on moving them into a plastic bin..
when i took the cover off, a few escaped fast, i went to get them, then 12 or more so were out... now im doing the "stomp dance" killing em with my feet!!
i ended up dumping the pile of em in the plastic bin, but didnt have everything ready to cover the lid... i freaked out not thinking, opended the window, and chucked the plastic bin out the window.. falling 15 feet down into the drive way. hahaha its like 12 degrees here, im sure they're all dead.
what a waste, but hey, atleast they didnt cost me anything but a good laugh afterwards... unfortunately there is a very paranoid mom in the house... thinking there are plenty more roaches somewhere upstairs in the cham room........
