I am pretty sure you can only get locusts for feeders in the UK

Those would most likely be grasshoppers and they have very different breeding needs.

locusts are same as grasshoppers

No the locusts that are sold in the UK are different than most of the grasshoppers/locusts you can find in the US, they are much easier to breed usually too.

I have not but to be honest I've been tempted to try a hornworm.

I havn't tried any of my feeders ether but I did eat a live minnow once. I felt it wiggle in my throat.

I imagine hornworms would be the more disgusting out of the bugs to try... very squishy and moist.... I would cook up some crickets or grasshoppers, they are good to try for the first time.

I might lose it if I bit into a hornworm and it squirted in my mouth.
