Locust??

Where can I buy feeder locust in the us? I've searched everywhere online and can't find them in the US. I've read they're illegal here, is this true? If so why? I'm trying to add some more variety for my veiled Cham, right now I'm feeding him crickets, silkworms, horn worms, Dubia roaches, Phoenix worms, super worms on occasion and he eats off his umbrella and money tree and I sometimes give him collard greens. What else can I feed him, I know he can eat flightless fruit flies too but I'm afraid they'll get loose in my house, I already have a problem with gnats. Can anyone help please??

Buy a butterfly net and go hunting, or buy a can of them and play pretend their alive with your cham.

I don't think you can buy them here in the US. I have also looked and asked on a few different posts about grasshoppers in the forums here.
