Looking for crickets

Hello does anyone know a website where they have good healthy crickets for good prices? Possibly from here in California would be great thanks.

Hi,

Ghanns has great deals on crickets. I buy in bulk for the savings (already 30,000 this month yikes!). Locally in Citrus Heights there is a reptile store on Auburn blvd. You can get price breaks @ 500 or 1000. I would not buy anything else there.

Other than that most other places are about 20 for a buck. In Elk Grove or Roseville you can check out The Serpentarium. The have a cricket club or card that will also give you a price break and you don't have to buy in bulk all at once.

Ghanns crickets, I just ordered my first $1000 from them and they are all very healthy. They also use a different cricket species, supposed to last longer, be less noisy, not bite, and resistant to the notorious cricket virus and what not. Check them out, I'm glad I did.

Yes the shipping is expensive, I buy in bulk so it makes up for it. I store them in a large clear tub with the top lid cut out and I glued on a screen for ventilation. Give them lots of places to hide, food and water crystals, g2g

Rainbowmealworms.net is in SoCal so the shipping is not terrible. The problem is this time of year no matter where you order online you need to have everything shipped overnight to arrive alive and the guarantee.

If you only have 1 or 2 chameleons I would order from Ghanns. They have the best crickets by far. They sell Banded crickets. I have absolutely zero die off. You can order multiple sizes and in different quantities.

If you have the space you could order once a month and order different sizes.

3 containers : starting with 1/4", 1/2" and adult. Pretty much shipping to us out here is about $30 no matter what the qty. give or take a few bucks.

I'll send you a PM I have another option for you :)

Ghann's hands down is the best I have encountered. I took delivery of 2000 crickets a day or so before my furnace crapped out on me (1000 big/1000small). I cleaned the big cricket's bin today and only had a hundred or so that were dead. The small ones almost none died!

I think most companies right now do not have Live arrival guarantee. Even Ghanns right now has no LAG. But you're in Cali, so you should be fine.

I know here in Michigan, even with insulated boxes/heat packs and overnight shipping most crickets I've bought have arrived dead (if it's below 32 F).

Im in north west Ohio and I always get my crickets, supers, and horn worms from Rob at GLHW. I just had a shipment of 500 large crickets come to me last week or the week before, and the majority of them didn't make it. I called Rob and he replaced them the following week when it warmed up a bit. No questions asked. Great Lakes Horn Worm all the way!:) It does help that im semi local. only 1 day regular ground shipping.
