Loose feeders in house infestation??

Hi and good morning

I wanted to know if anyone knew what happen if several of the following feeders got loose in the house? Thank you so much. I live in a hot and humod climate where dubias are not even allowed and there are bugs and roaches all over.

Superworms - what happens? I heard they climb under the floorboards and into your walls and eat on the wall/insulation, turn into beetles and can breed?

Hornworms - they turn into moths and then what? Do the moths eat upholstry? Do they breed again? And make more worms?

Silkworms - once the worm is its biggest and escapes does it turn into a moth? Does the moth eat or damage your home? What if it gets outside? Will the moths breed?

Crixkets? I have heard theu can breed, and also chirp for weeks if lost in your house

Basically does anyone know if these are possibilties, and if they are, if they did start breeding and there were worms and moths all over he house, how would you even get rid of them, or is this impossible based on what they eat, etc. i am more asking if several (5,10,100 got loose) not just one, so there were males and females lost at the same tjms

Thank yku for your help, this is a serious post that I could not find thr answers too, with the exception of crickets where people have posted they did breed and infest and make constant noise even if just one escapes. Maybe this post will help others with the same question. :)

Umm, even where dubia live, there is no infestations. Everything you listed, does not like to live in a house. Even if a preggers dubia gets out, and manages to have kids, they wont stay in the house.

Superworms- they go somewhere and turn into beetles. The odds of 2 beetles finding each other and falling in love are slim. If they did manage to breed, the babies would live off of bark(not wood) They are really hard to breed vs mealworms
hornworm- turn into moth, and look for tomato plants, they wont lay eggs on anything else
silkworms- turns into moth with no mouth. eats only mulberry leaves
crickets- really hard to get an infestation unless you store mulch in your house. If they do get out, yes they will torture you for week or more with chirping, even with no food or water

Thanks - what about reptiworms/ phoenix worms of the worms turn to moths?
Those moths can destroy local bee colonies which is pretty bad for the environment. If you have any worms that happen to pupate to moths you should only open your container in a closet so you can contain any wayward moths.

Oops, wax works are the mother ones, Phoenix worms turn into soldier flys which look like wasps

I've had the occasional one escape, they die quickly, the flies. I don't think they have much of a life span. They breed and lay eggs in compost type stuff, so they'd be looking to get outdoors.

I was shocked to hear this and started googling. I found no evidence that this happens, though one myth buster reports they think the myth was started in wikipedia where someone reported an abandoned beehive filled with BSF. This would be more realistic since they are great clean up crews!

You click on the Forums tab, and then choose the kind of forum you want to post. I believe this should go under General Discussion. Then a small box will appear near the corner of the page and it will say something like, "Post new thread". Click on that and it should bring you to a blank forum.
