OOOHHHHH!, the last 2 days have been a nightmare. I lost Sambatra! The weather here in Georgia has been so nice lately and I have been repotting plants. I have 10 X 12 greenhouse and I will let Sambatra loose in the greenhouse when I am working in the yard. He really loves it. Well, Monday it started to rain so I ran to the house. It continued to rain for a few hours, so it was awhile before I went down to check on him. I searched the greenhouse up and down looking for him - By nightfall it was obvious that I was not going to find him. I got up early the next day to continue to search. I went through every plant iinthe greenhouse, but no Sambatra. That's when I panicked and thought that maybe a snake had gotten in and eaten him. I started to notice that there were some small round holes near the base of my foundation. It occured to me then that he may have gotten out of the greenhouse - holycow! How would I ever find him with the woods 10 feet from the back of the greenhouse. So I took my search outside. I still had not found him by nightfall. My heart sunk to my toes. I was so worried - I said alot of prayers that night. Got up early again today to start looking again, even told the neighbor kids I would give them $10.00 if they found him so they would help - they got bored in about 10 minutes and left me. I tried focusing on a group of trees closest to the greenhouse - I must have checked each one 5000 times yesterday with no luck, but I keep at it. Well, it paid off about 1:00 today.
he was in a small tree, right about eye level. I could not believe it! He was safe and sound.
I returned him to his cage and gave him a shower. He drank and drank and drank. I felt so sorry for him. I am happy to say that I just put him to bed and he seems no worse for the wear. Oh, and so ya'll understand what a miracle it is that I found him alive without a scratch on him - I have 12 cats!!!
