Low humidity health problems?

I've tried to look for a thread with anything that explains what can happen to your chameleon if you dont have the correct/recommended humidity in the enclosure.

Can low humidity or lack of humidity cause any health problems or any problems at all to your chameleon?

Hi! As far as i'm aware it can cause dehydration and a respiritory infection but too high humidity can cause a respiritory infection too!

Yes, low humidity can cause a lot of problems. Chams are adapted to higher humidity environments which makes them less able to tolerate a chronic loss of body moisture. Human houses are a lot drier than their wild habitats. Health issues include:

Kidney failure
Eye irritation that can result in injury or infection
Difficulty shedding, stuck sheds and resulting infections
Respiratory tract mucous membrane irritation that make the tissue more prone to infection
Loss of tongue "stickiness" and inability to catch prey
Electrolyte imbalances, loss of appetite
Bowel impactions and intestinal prolapse
Hemipene prolapse
