Lump or abscess?

Hello my cham has for a lump at the side just up from his mouth. It's not affecting his eating or drinking and is healthy otherwise.

I took him to a vet but the specialist was on maternity leave so the vet that checked him over couldn't 100% say what it was - maybe a bite or trauma to the area or abscess. As with reptiles when she pierced it no puss was present just a hard lump. Gave me Surolan which is basically ear and skin treatment for dogs and cats to rub on the area twice a day but it's not making a difference.

Any suggestions?

I would go to a different vet. Pus in reptiles is hard and cheese like in consistency. It needs to be cleaned out, and cultured to determine which antibiotic will get rid of the infection.

Can you post a photo? What type of chameleon is it?

He wasn't happy about getting his picture taken. Also note he's going through a shed just now. Not related as the limp was there before that
