Male and female Panther Housing

Hello!
Simple inquiry here; I have a female Panther approximately aged at 6-7 month’s old. I would like to eventually get another panther and was wondering how Housing worked with a male and a female. I understand that these are solitary animals, but just wanted to confirm my suspicions.

Yes, house them separately except for breeding purposes.

If you house them together the male will want to mate whenever the female is not producing eggs so it will stress her out and keep her producing eggs all the time. She will spend most of the time she's gravid having to show the male she's not interested too which will likely be stressful for both of them. Just not worth it for either of them.
