MALE baby blue bar ambilobe

hello there i have a baby blue bar ambilobe he is drinking and eating well everyday loves water and food! when i feed him he really goes light white/ blue reds in his neck and when he's just chillin he's sometimes brown?? is this because he's blending in with his surroundings? he has 2 small ficus in there and loads of brown vines

with chams they dont change colour to blend in,its more moods he will go bright when in good moods and dull when not, also they go dull colours when there to walm

the bulb i have atm is 60 watt basking bulb tempos are around 80 i went to store to reduce the bulb today but that was the lowest temp they had with the same fitting. Il go get a new fitting tomorrow and reduce it to 40 watt. how ho i post pics the chameleon above is my old chameleon btw

does anyone know how i change my profile pic ? i will also post a pic of him when he's brown he's definately not ill or dehydrated hes very healthy but i do think it might be too hot for him, however he still sits in front of the lamp from time to time

you do not want to LOWER his basking temp. 80 is too low as is and a 40 watt will reduce it further. You want a basking temp of about 90 degrees for a young panther.

this is pierre brown and within a minuite hes is light coloured any ideas why he goes brown sometimes?

They go dark colours when abit scared or abit peed off lol hes only a baby so he will b frightend of you, ur massive compared to him
An hes just moved into a new home so he needs to settle in, try leave him alone as much as u can, just hand misting him and giving him food and he will get used to you soon enough, try hand feeding him in around a week or so see if he will take it if not just leave him and keep trying every now and then this will help him get used to you hope this helps

ive read loads about hand feeding pierre doesent seem to have a problem with it he takes from my hand when he feels like it other times he gets scared but the majority i feed him with tonges and he like to go chasing them around his viv hes a beast! im sure he willl grow up to be an awsome cham!
