I'm Beggining to think that my male ambi panther just doesn't have it in him I believe he does but he just can't seem to get his breeding job done the first time I tried I left them together for 2 days same cage regular mistings and feeding them one of the two days they shown very very lil to no signs of stress and seem to keep trying but I had to separate them. I then proceeded to wait two days and then put them back together today and they seem to be showing no signs of stress and the female is also not aggressive at all towards my male and he will mount and do everything else right sept I always see sperm plugs on the branch below the two of them after they separate for a second and then she just re positions and he starts to try all over is something wrong am I doing anything. I'm lost as to why my guy can't get the job done he is healthy and obviously wants to but may just be a little slow?:( I really want him to get it right so I can have a nice beautiful clutch of fertile eggs as I know she has not retained any sperm as her last clutch was completely infertile last clutch laid 6+months ago.

Put the female on the floor of the cage ,when the male is mounted and trying slowly approach and lift her tail ,kind of help. I went thru that and when I lifted the tail he went right in .key is to approach slowly and lift the tail

I would love to be able too but my female is just a mean gal she has never been nice even to her last owner so I'll try it buy any other suggestions are welcomed because I'm pretty sure she will bite me or him if I try that but I will indeed try.

She might just not be ready. I was having trouble with my first breeding where the female looked receptive and the male would mount but never stuck it in. I tried again a few weeks later and they got the job done. I was told she might have just not been ready and he could sense it.

give it time

He may just be inexperienced, but unless theres something wrong with him(vet would know) then just give it time, hell get it right eventually if he hasn't already. Have you been watching during every breeding episode? Maybe he already succeeded. and you missed it. Im pretty sure when its successful, she'll let him know! and tell him GET OUT!!! lol
