Male panther chameleon not eating

hey,
I have a 8 month old male ambilobe. he was a baby when i got him and grew fast. but the past few weeks hasn't eaten crickets dubia hornworn you name it i tried it. Now hes very thin where you see ribs. seems to have a problem climbing as well not bad you see. i upload a recent photo few day ago. hope it helps. he has me very worried because i have no near by vet to take him only in next state over some bs correct.

use calcium without d3 every feeding and herpivite once a month and once with d3
bask temp 86"F and 70's cold end
use reptisun 10 because of mesh filtering out most uvb that why i never use reptisun 5

better recent photo look closely to the lean in the body. i had a question that has been puzzleing me. Few weeks ago i watch him poop you know check urates. is it normal for a male to have like a penis and the head had spores. am not trying to joke around at all its what i seen. he is next to a female veiled?

how long has he gone without food? or is he still eating but just not as much as before?
does he drink lots?
he is still pooping, yes? white urate or yellow or?
what do you gutload with?
where do you live? (maybe we can help you find a vet)
have you had him (his poop) checked for parasites? even a non-specialist vet tech should be able to to do a basic fecal look-see with a microscope

hi,
he hasn't eat anything for three weeks now same amount of dubia i take out every nite.
he doesn't drink the drips from the leaves like he used to. i haven't noticed him do his usual. I mist him and a dripper gos as well.
he hasn't pooped for days but the last one i remember was white/pink urates.
i use roach chow only and crickets high calcium diet by flukers. i just dust worms like supers and horns.

if he doesnt get better start giving him repta+boost from flukers so you can supplement all the nutrients and vitamins he is not taking follow the instructions ,the same thing happened to mine he is 9 months now but i had the same problem and after a couple of days in that diet he stared eating again

Do you cup feed only or do you let the prey loose? I realized that my panther never cup feeds. I have to let the prey roam free. I guess for mine it is the prime instinct of hunting that is too strong. I would try letting them loose in the cage and see how he reacts. If your overall humidity is high he might drink less as he also absorbs moisture through the skin. Please fill out the form as suggested before. Beautiful Cham btw.

Repta boost I don't have that but any pet store have it right. I let the prey loose mainly because there dubias. Cricket I let loose when he was eating them. Thank you he's a colorful boy. Wish I could help him best I can.
Chameleon. Ambilobe male 8 months old and 4 months in my care.
Handling. Never handle a lot just to look him over
Feeding. Supers crickets dubia. 12-16 at one feeding not lately. Roach chow and flukers high calcium gut load for crickets.
Supplement. Repcal Calcium without d3 every feeding and herbivite and with d3 once monthly.
Watering. Mist cage everything for 30 seconds 3-6 times daily. He licks leaves
Fecal. Pink/orange urates never a smell. Once tested had a fecal done clear.
History. Was a little guy and raised him to this point photo above.

Cageing. 18"18"36" screen black mesh zoomed reptibreeze.
Lighting. 12 on 12off 10am off at 10pm. Reptisun 10 because of type of cage was told reptisun 5. 75watt 86f bask temp
Temps. 86f bask temp floor temp 78-80. Coldest at night temp 66f.
Humidity. I use Zilla digital probes for both humidity and temps. Works awesomely. 30s-50s for humidity readings. I need to double check to make sure.
Plants. No fake ones never had the luck with keeping them alive.
Placement. Three off floor And not near any vents. Fire place it's near.
Location. Eastern time zone united states

Please help my boy I lost my dog two weeks ago. I can't lose this Cham am still getting better over my other boy dog.

Still not eating at all. Not my best interaction but at first when he sees my hand opens mouth. I put a superworm in there and rejected it. It's bothering to see his ribs now and how thin he has gotten. Am just not sure what I can do. He's my partner and can't leave a man down.

The reptisun 10 is over the first six months done this december. For the 1 year old life of bulb.

His arm looks a little curved to me which would indicate metabolic bone disease. Can you post more pictures? (I could very well be wrong.) It's recommended to change the bulbs every 6 months if you dont have a UV meter, so you should probably change that if its almost a year old.

Have you looked in his mouth recently? Does it look normal? Have you seen him extend his tongue? Do you weigh him? If you dont, I auggest you do so that you can monitor his weight. Then you will know if he's loosing weight or not.

Also, will he eat supers when offered?

Mbd that is treated by improving lighting right. Yes I can get a few current ones just need computer. Should I use a 5.0 or 10.0 bulb for him what's best for replaceing it. I seen his pihanna teeth today lol his mouth looks good. No I actually havent seen him use his tougue. Let me take a look again at tougue but I remember it looking purple. Gram scale yes was 50 grams dropped to 40 grams. I usually powder supers and put them on mesh to crawl but same amount I take out. He used to eat supers few months ago. Now I usually push one in his mouth so usually that's it with eating but does lick the leaves.

It doesnt sound like you are offering enough water (misting should be for 3-6 minutes, not 30 seconds). If they are dehydrated, they dont eat.
Urates should be white, not pink or organge or yellow.

If he is loosing weight and not eating for weeks, you should take him to a vet (even if that means travelling a bit).

In the meantime, get some feeder bugs, smash them up with a little water and a little calcium, to make a thin paste. Use a needleless syringe and force feed (do a search on this forum to find out how to do that properly, so that you dont cause him to aspirate.

Change the UVB bulb. Once he is eating again, learn to gutload properly.

sounds like you didnt change your uvb at 6 months which can effect your animal i would go with a 5.0 incandescent tube not a compact. maybe that would help promote healthy eating, and if he does have any mild mbd it could stop it before it gets worse or it starts.

EDIT: i looked back and read through all the comments i agree with Sandra more water (my panther got a dehydrated when i got him because he avoided the lil dripper and would not drink from it)
try giving him a shower (put him on a tree or bush with the bottom wrapped in a bag then put him in a luke warm shower and bounce the water off the wall onto his tree)
watch him hopefully he'll drink and maybe get out of his I'm not gonna eat because i don't feel good stage (my friend had a snake that stopped eating and eventually died after he neglected to get it a basking light which it needed)

I dont want to neglect him no. Vet isn't a option because it's in the next state and don't treat chameleons just geckos and bearded dragons. I need to confirm this use the 5.0 reptisun right what about the mesh it's a reptibreeze cage will this reflect the UVB rays and am doing no good. I was told not to mist heavy as you recommended because of lung illness the resp word can't spell it. How would I know if tougue still works?

Try giving him a shower for hydration,( place chameleon on a plant in the shower, letting the water indirectly splash on him)
I would try and offer something different for feeders, ( green grasshoppers, flying insects such as dragonflies or moths.)
And as others have stated a vet visit should be scheduled.

I'll try bring him in shower cause I have a shower head you can grab and rinse him ok. Hopefully my naked body won't scare him lol do it for good. Grasshoppers I havent seen in a while only black Hugh crickets. Moths and dragonflies cool I have seen a bunch of dragons fly over my pool. With that said seen him drink the pothos leave today. But won't eat still. Going to improve lighting up a wattage for basking and the 5.0 UVB will work right laying on the mesh screen right? Good question I can't figure out the UVB mesh thing.

I didn't read this before but I took him in shower with me on a plant. Seemed to enjoy it jumpy at first. Flying insects how should I get them? I was going to try bug paste. 5.0 cool that's what am using now. Temps I have been watching 8 inches from heat bulb I put the probe right under heat bulb 8 inches away. 86-90.5 readings I been getting and humidity in 30's. How long should I keep him outside on a blue sky day. The past few days white sky and humid. I mean how long outside where it will benefit him. Tougue is still working because the dripper is on top of screen and he tougues it for water. It looks purple his Tougue.

Any advice on how to get a female veiled to use laying bin. I use a flower pot 12" deep and 8" width the top. I used organic top soil peat and sand it said. I made a tunnel almost two inch round for her. But she just poops on top of pot. The past few days she has stopped eating. I don't know if it's because I ran out of Dubia her favorite. PayPal paying with just a credit card won't take my card tells me to try another when my debit card is all I got. I made a PayPal account tryed to verifie the account but won't send two amounts to my account to verifie it. I hate PayPal but without it can't get these feeders. That and am 100% no good at a dubi colony lol. Sure would help me out lol.
