Male vs Female?

So this saturday I will be going to the Expo here in Oregon and will hopefully (most likely) be purchasing a cham. I know that when they are young it can be hard to correctly tell the gender so what I'm wondering is what more you need for a female compared to a male. Is it just a laying bin or..?

Figuring out sex is going to vary by species. For example, with Veiled you can tell by the little spurs on the back of the rear feet, but with Panthers, it's a more tricky process of looking at the tail and vent area. You could do a search on the forum to find examples.

For females of egg laying species, along with the laying bin, there is a bit more difference in temperatures and feeding schedule to try and keep females from laying too many eggs, or even any eggs at all. I see this article linked a lot here about how to keep female Veiled, though I am not sure how it applies to other species: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/specific-care-for-female-veiled-chameleons.8760/
