Mannequin?

I have a baby veiled cham with trust issues of course and my boyfriend had the idea of putting a mannequin hand in his enclosure with vines on it so he could climb a hand to see if it would make him more comfortable with mine. I feel like this is a silly idea but was still wondering opinions on it since I've never heard of that before.

Wow. If I where the cham I would be terrified... o_O Honestly I wouldn't because it could cause stress because the cham will think someone's just invading his/her territory. :notworthy:

I dont think the veil cham will care the difference on a mannequin hand with a real hand since there are no motion involved,he probably will stand on it n even poop on it,tameing a chameleon required lots time n patience by observing the cham's body language,as soon the cham doesnt see ur hand as a threat ,that will be the time to invite the cham to walk on ur hand n even bring it out from the cage .

I don't know if that would work but that's pretty creative! Ive heard that hand feeding is a good way to "tame" your chameleon. I've hand fed my chameleon crickets and roaches in the first few months I've had him and then I had hand fed him super worms. When I hand fed Bort (my cham), I would use both hands and hold the food far enough away that he would climb on my other hand in order to reach it. Now whenever I come to the cage all he wants to do is crawl all over me! I don't know if it'll work for sure but it's worth a shot!
